Midwest Islamic Center was established in 1992 as a nonprofit, religious, educational and cultural center. Popularly known as Masjid Al-Huda, has facilities for performing Salat in congregation, Weekend Islamic School, Full-time Islamic School, Charity services, Marriage services, Funeral services and Quranic & Arabic tutoring.

Masjid Al-Huda is located at 1081 Irving Park Road Schaumburg, IL 60193. The Masjid services the Muslim community in the Northwest suburbs of the Chicagoland area. The masjid's congregation includes many ethnic and professional groups, representing Muslims from all over the world.

The primary mission of Masjid Al-Huda is to provide a focus of activities for Muslims living in the Schaumburg, Hoffman Estates, Hanover Park, Bartlett, Roselle and other surrounding suburban areas in order for them to organize religious, educational, and social life of their community in the light of Islamic teachings and traditions. The Masjid also serves as an information resource by providing an understanding of Islam as a faith, as a religion, and as a way of life, and by striving to create an awareness of the Islamic point of view on issues of contemporary relevance. The Masjid is a member of The Council of Islamic Organizations of Greater Chicago (CIOGC).

The Full-time Islamic school (Al-Huda Academy) has been established in 2007 for providing elementary school education and Islamic education in a proper and caring environment. This School Year, we will have grades from pre-school through the third grade. We will continue to add one grade every year till the 6th grade, inshallah (Allah-willing).

The Weekend (Sunday) Islamic School has been established in 2005, and is committed to providing Islamic education in a caring environment for the children, upto the 10th grade. Currently, 275 students have been enrolled in the School, and is operating at its full capacity. There is an overwhelming demand for expansion of class sizes and grades, and inshallah, the board is fully committed to providing the Islamic Schools for the community.

The Masjid has aggressive plans for expansion based on the community needs, especially in the field of Islamic education for the youth, and is currently collecting funds for the New School building and completion of the North parking lot. We urge everyone to participate, contribute and support this cause to the best of their abilities. This is very crucial in establishing Islam and Muslims in this country, for generations to come. Midwest Islamic Center is a registered 501(c)(3) charitable organization, and all the contributions are tax-deductible (ID is 36-3784597).
